Bio
Denise
P. Jeffries has been writing since 1993. Her short stories, essays
and articles have appeared in The Sun Magazine, Shades of Romance
Magazine, Mothers of Writers 2002, The Healthcare Digest, The
Healthcare Alliance and the Riverside Nurse.
Her first book, ‘A Walk in the Rain,’ was published in
2001. Her second book,
‘Strictly Classified,’ was released the end of May 2004.
Mrs. Jeffries, a Registered Nurse resides with her husband,
Leon, in Newport News, Virginia, where she works as a critical care
nurse and nursing supervisor. She
was born in New Jersey and has been a resident of Virginia for many
years. She graduated
from the Riverside Hospital School of Professional Nursing.
She has also studied at Hampton University where she received
a certificate in Paralegal Studies and the California College of
Health Sciences where she is currently seeking a Bachelors Degree in
Health Administration.
Mrs. Jeffries provides workshops and lectures on such topics
as Decreasing Your Professional Liability, Characterization,
Conflict and Plot, Creating Emotions and Getting Published: What
They Forgot To Tell Us. She has been noted in Who’s Who of American Nursing, Who’s
Who in the South and Southeast, Who’s Who in American Women, Who’s
Who of Healthcare and Medicine and Who’s Who of Professionals.
She is also a member of Romance Writers of America and the
Chesapeake Romance Writers where she currently holds the position of
President. She is also a member of Romance Divas, Thunder and Roses
and the International Women Writers Guild.
